12/26/07 - Why Wont The First Selectman Get The Gang Graffiti Removed From The Welcome To Greenwich Sign On US1?

Dear First Selectman,

I have repeatedly written about this.

I have called Town Hall About This.

I have called a local call in radio show about this.

But no one will provide Byram with the Public Works service it deserves.

If this Gang Graffiti was on a sign in front of Town Hall it would be gone in less than a day.

Yet the signs in Byram are ignored.

sincerely,

Date: November 26, 2007: Employees eye Benoit hearing for clues to evaluation process - Greenwich Time

On the first day of termination hearings for Fire Marshal Joseph Benoit, John Margenot Jr. took a seat next to his fellow former first selectman Tom Ragland, and chatted between bursts of testimony. The two former first selectmen were joined by dozens of other town employees, former elected officials, firefighters, and residents who attended the first two days of the quasi-judicial proceedings about Benoit, who faces termination after First Selectman Jim Lash suspended him in September.

12/26/07 - Unpaid Property Taxes - Cars Registered Out Of State

When is Greenwich going to start doing something about all the unpaid car taxes in Greenwich.

About 20 to 30% of the cars in Greenwich are registered out of state.

This is a huge loss of revenue that hurts everything especially the kids in underfunded and poorly maintained schools.
